ABOUT ME
Santiago de Miguel
Video Game Translator
My name is Santiago and I’m an English-Spanish (Latam) Translator. I’ve also completed a specialization course in Spanish Proofreading and a postgraduate degree in New Technologies Applied to Translation.
As a long-time gamer, I love localizing video games and I’m very familiar with all game genres and their conventions. Some of the latest games I’ve played include Overwatch, The Last of Us, Ghostwire Tokyo and Hogwarts Legacy, among others.
I was part of the localization team in charge of localizing an online AAA first person shooter, the remake of an award-winning real time strategy game, a popular multiplayer online battle arena game, a well-known hack and slash RPG, an open world space exploration adventure, a popular educational game aimed at teaching children how to code, and many other action and mobile games.
In addition, I offer training courses on computer-assisted translation tools and subtitling software for translators, especially memoQ, where I also work as a Gaming Solution Engineer.
